Hyde Park Farmers’ Market

hydeparkfarmersmarket.com

Hours: Sundays 10 AM to 2 PM

Dates: Beginning of June through October

Contact: judy@hydeparkfarmersmarket.com

Description: We want to offer both organic and conventionally grown produce, with an emphasis on organic, by supporting small and family run farms in our area, as well as providing an outlet for independent cottage type businesses i.e. sellers of jellies, jams, honey, and baked goods, and locally grown flowers, plants and herbs.

We want to bring the community together by establishing a pleasant vibrant outdoor environment for gathering, shopping, and community sharing, thereby enhancing the quality of life in the Hyde Park area.

We want to connect the consumer with the farmer/vendor grower and to educate the consumer about how their produce is grown.

Together we want to celebrate the foods grown in this area not only through availability but also through education and awareness.

Location: US Bank parking lot – 3424 Edwards Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45208

Description: Findlay Market is Ohio’s oldest continuously operated public market and one of Cincinnati’s most cherished institutions. The Market is located just blocks from downtown in Over-the-Rhine, a dense historic neighborhood rich in 19th century architecture. Open Wednesday through Sunday, Findlay Market is home year-around to about two dozen indoor merchants selling meat, fish, poultry, produce, flowers, cheese, deli, and ethnic foods. On Saturdays and Sundays from April to November the Market also hosts a thriving farmers market, dozens of outdoor vendors, numerous street performers, and lots of special events.

Findlay Market is a gathering place for people from all over the city. It routinely attracts perhaps the most socially, economically, racially, and ethnically diverse crowds found anywhere in Cincinnati. They come for the sights and sounds and smells of an old-fashioned public market, for the great variety of fabulous fresh foods, for bargains, for people watching, and for a quintessentially urban shopping experience.
